Four Stanford students were having coffee on a beautiful October afternoon. Disgruntled by how long it takes to receive books ordered online, the four got to thinking. What if there was a way to combine the convenience of online shopping with the instant gratification of a campus bookstore? Voila! They had it. OurShelves.

OurShelves allows Stanford students to borrow and buy books, readers, and magazines from other students around campus. Lenders and Sellers can make money passively by simply listing the items they own on our site. It’s a neat concept. We hope you find our services useful.
