Our Curation Team members who review your books share expertise from librarianship, teaching, early childhood development, psychology, racial and other identity bias, and parenting. All Curation Team members -- and their children -- have the lived experience of being under-represented in children's books.

OurShelves advocates for the many LGBTQ+ and other diverse books under attack during this time of unprecedented book and curricular bans, amid other attacks. When will my box book be delivered?

Orders placed by June 7th will be delivered in June. Orders placed after June 7th may arrive after June.

What will be inside my box?

Some of our favorite LGBTQ+ books from past OurShelves boxes! (We've included some of the wonderful books we'll be sending out in the product photos). Sunshine (Ages 0-2) boxes include all board books. Rainbow (Ages 2-5) and Treehouse (Ages 5-8) boxes include primarily hardback picture books, with the larger boxes sometimes including 1 or 2 paperback picture books.
